Hey man,

America’s 250th birthday is here! Freedom and liberty are foundational to our country’s formation and they flow from the essential tenets of the Christian faith.

Praise God for freedom, but freedom that is not appreciated and used sometimes looks like the opposite: oppression.

You'll never break through...

I wrestle a lot with feeling like I’ll never break through. I struggle most days with the thought that I may do something to screw everything up. Like if I make one mistake, one wrong move, that I’ll miss it. That God’s perfect plan for me will be ruined.

The result. I procrastinate. I start but don’t finish. I have a storehouse of ideas and projects that are 90% finished.

It's an ongoing battle, but today God spoke something to me that I want to share with you. It is wrecking those tired old scripts and setting me free in the best possible way!

This is what He said,

“I love you with a love that won’t quit. My heart for you is that you will live freely and be filled with joy. I want you to smile and take risks and try things. Don’t be afraid. My perfect will in nearness to me. Everything else there is much room. The narrow way is actually a beautiful pasture with lots of room to roam. So roam free and explore for my glory and to my great pleasure.”

My friend, I believe these words are for you too. You have permission to enjoy the freedom God has paid for you to have. He has brought you into his Kingdom. Live free! Go exploring! And, sincerely, may God bless America!
