My friend,

You, good sir, are more than the sum of your achievements or failures. You’re more than the measure of your titles or missed opportunities. You’re more than the father wounds you’ve received and possibly given. You are more than a cog in the machine or a pawn in the game of life. You’re more than your sins or your triumphs.

You are called and chosen, brought to life for such a time as this by the God who created the universe. You have been set apart to do the good things he planned for you long ago.

So, let’s go together. Let’s choose today to set aside all of the weights and sins that have entangled us so we can run with endurance the races marked out for us.

No more chasing the wind. No more striving for control.

Rest today in the knowledge that you are known, seen, cared for and loved by God.

This is not a message for snowflakes or wusses. This is a message for mighty men of God who understand that they need the Savior, they need His love and his care. They are not weaker because they are in need, but their need perfectly positions them for God’s strength to be shown in and through them.

Grace is a gift, no earning. So live today from the freedom of this identity.

Live no more in the chains of the past or the dead trappings of the life of sin you left behind. That man is dead. Live as the new man that Jesus has raised up and called to life. You are free. Now, go and work, build, rest, play, laugh, trust, fight, love and live like a free man.

Stay sharp,

Aubrey

Hey man of God, Whether you’re in a dream job or in a dead-end career, don’t despise the days of manna. The real sin of the Israelites in the wilderness was their ungrateful hearts toward God. They couldn’t see his faithful provision because they grew tired of its taste. Now the rabble that was among them had a strong craving. And the people of Israel also wept again and said, “Oh that...

Hey man of God, Twelve years ago, we took an abandoned home and turned it into our dream home. We were fueled by the fixer-upper craze and the confidence from random people’s homemade how-to Youtube videos. It was a ton of fun and a lot of work and one of the biggest blessings God has given us. We didn’t renovate it so we could stand at a distance and admire it. We brought it back t...

Hey, man of God, September was “Dangerous Man Month,” but the journey isn’t over. We still have one final Domain of Danger to cover: VISION. VISION is not about having the map or knowing the future. Vision, in the context of becoming the right kind of dangerous man, is first about who we are becoming, then about where we are going. One of the best things about being Jesus’s disciple is t...
