Hey, man of God,

Consider the paradox of the cross.

From one perspective, it is the simplest thing. 
Two lines drawn.
Two pieces of wood joined.
Kneel at the cross, confess your sin, 
And an endless ocean of grace is yours,
Eternal life is yours.

From another perspective, it is infinitely complex
For God so loved the world,
God becomes a man.
Then willingly dies for traitors,
Impossibly checking every prophetic box.
Hundreds of them.

And…

He didn’t stay dead.
Is there anything more baffling
Than resurrection?

My brother, here is my encouragement to you.

Don’t overcomplicate God’s grace, but don’t oversimplify the cross.

I pray that this Easter, God opens our eyes to a fresh revelation of the paradox of the cross, of his love for us.
