Hey, man of God,
Today, on our journey to become the Right Kind of Dangerous Men, we land on the third domain, IDENTITY.
The right kind of dangerous men in my life:
- Are comfortable in their own skin.
- Are Men of integrity who do not lead with insecurity.
- Spend little to no energy on people-pleasing or apologizing for who they are or what they say and do.
- Know who they are in Christ and they are not ashamed of Him.
I strive to be a man like this, but I miss the mark often. I can be defensive and respond from insecurity instead of humble confidence. I can be cowardly when it comes to sharing about Jesus and get caught in people-pleasing instead. I am tempted to sacrifice my integrity to save a few dollars.
You can see how this makes me dangerous. Do you see any of these patterns in your own life?
DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE?
How about you?
- Are you secure in who you are in Christ?
- Are you living with an identity that is forged in his love for you and his faithfulness or in your successes or failures?
- Are you living in the confident abundance of God’s Kingdom or in the scarcity mentality of the world?
The Right Kind of Dangerous Man knows who he is and who he belongs to. Everything flows from this.
Do you know who you are, man of God?
"And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, 'Abba! Father!' So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God."
Galatians 4:6-7
