Stay Sharp Weekly
The Stay Sharp Weekly newsletter equips Christian men to get sharp and stay sharp in every area of their lives.
Hey Man of God,
I am burdened this morning and deeply concerned about our culture’s addiction to screens. They have become such a wide-spread part of our lives that we don’t even notice how tight of a grip they have on us.
Walking through the airport this morning, I was struck with a fresh revelation of how deeply disconnected all of this “hyper-connectedness” is making us. God kept bringing to my mind these calls from scripture to
“Lift up your head.”
“Lift up your eyes.”
“Look up.”
Jesus says in John 4:35, “Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest.”
What do we miss when we allow our attention to be captured by screens?
We miss our crucial mission to see those to whom God has called us to be salt and light. We miss the joy of genuine connection with those around us. We miss opportunities to wait on the Lord, to hear his voice and to respond in courageous obedience.
Let’s wake up men!
Will you pray this with me?
“Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things; and give me life in your ways.”
Psalm 119:37
THIS WEEK’S TOP 3
- READ: Matthew 28
- THINK: What percentage of my engagement with technology is intentional vs. habitual?

- ACT: Look up today. When you are with people, look up. See them. When you are alone. Look up! Give God space today. Put down the phone in the margins of your life.
BOOKING FOR FALL 2026: RETREATS, LEADERSHIP SUMMITS, AND CHURCHES
One of my favorite things in the world is to speak at conferences, retreats and churches.
If you lead a church, run a men's ministry, host a retreat, or know someone looking for a speaker this fall. I'd love to be in the conversation.
I'm speaking on three topics right now:
Filter the Noise - a practical framework for quieting the mental chaos and living with the authority and peace of Christ.
The Right Kind of Dangerous Man - calling men back to the strength, clarity, and God-given intentionality they were wired for.
Fathering in the Age of AI - equipping dads to thrive, not just survive, in the new technological frontier.
If any of these feel like a fit for your people, shoot me an email. Let's connect.
