Stay Sharp Weekly
Jun 05, 2025
Welcome to the Stay Sharp Weekly newsletter— equipping Christian men to get sharp and stay sharp in every area of their lives.
Good-day Gentlemen,
June marks the beginning of summer on most of our calendars. Naturally, when we get outside more and fully rise from the sedentary life of winter, we become aware of the state of our physical health. That dad-bod has really taken shape.
All joking aside, for most men, the prognosis is not good. In middle age, we're gaining weight, feeling more pain, and dealing with more stress than in previous decades. Here is the truth we must understand to get back on the right path.
In God's eyes, our physical body and our spiritual life are deeply connected.
The way you feel in your body affects the way you think in your mind and believe in your heart. It also heavily influences the way you treat others, especially those closest to you. It also affects your identity and how you honor God's purposes for your life. Don't forget, "Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit."

Ask yourself, "Do you feel sharp in your body right now or do you feel dull and chipped?" If you don't feel sharp, don't heap shame on yourself. Start with one simple healthy habit this week and build from there.
THIS WEEK'S TOP 3
READ: Proverbs 7
THINK:
"People will drink enough caffeine to kill a horse, doom scroll social media late at night, binge watch murder documentaries and wonder why they are riddled with anxiety."
ACT: Choose one simple habit to add to your day this week to care for the body God has entrusted to you.
- Drink 12 ounces of water with every meal.
- Walk outside for 10 minutes.

Come on. Give it a shot. Hit reply and let me know which one you plan to start this week.
