Stay Sharp Weekly
May 29, 2025
Gentlemen,
One way we start to feel dull is when we can't settle the chatter in our minds. We can't tell the truth from the lies. Staying sharp is about staying close and leaning in to hear the life-giving voice of God, our creator. It's about showing up with him daily to be refined and honed by his word and his love. If you will show up to meet him, he will most certainly show up to meet you!
If you're looking for practical help to quiet the noise and hear God's voice, I wrote a book based on a practice that a mentor taught me. It's called Filter The Noise. You can get more info about it on my website, www.aubreymcgowan.com. If you have read it, hit reply and let me know.

THIS WEEK'S TOP 3
READ:
Proverbs 6
THINK:
"He who will not reap when the fields are white to the harvest, will have only himself to blame if in other seasons he is unable to fill his arms with sheaves. Opportunities should be promptly used whenever the Lord puts them in our way. It is good fishing where there are plenty of fish, and when the birds flock around the fowler it is time for him to spread his nets."
-Charles Spurgeon
What opportunities are before you right now to share the gospel and/or take new ground in your life? Are you promptly pursuing them or shrinking back in fear?
ACTION:
When your mind is cluttered this week, take 5 minutes to write a list of things you are grateful for. Then, say them out loud as a way to speak the truth over your mind.
Take courage,
Aubrey
